The Substitute Services Team main purpose is to secure substitutes for both Certificated and Classified employee absences so as not to interrupt the educational process. We serve approximately 1,800 certificated and 1,425 classified employees. Substitute Services maintains the Aesop that is used to secure certificated and classified substitutes. The Aesop is a computer database linked to an automated telephone calling system. In addition to the regular Certificated & Classified classroom substitutes, Substitute Services processes payroll for, Community Education instructors, tutors, translators, student workers and summer & extra help.
