Dear Image Families,
This is a reminder that all registered voters who live within the Evergreen Public Schools boundary should have received their ballots for the February 11th Special Election. On the ballot, voters are being asked to consider two replacement levies, the Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) levy, and a Safety, Security & Technology Capital (SSTC) levy. If approved by a simple majority of votes (50% plus one), the measures would replace existing levies that expire at the end of 2025. Both replacement levies would last four years.
The levies are not new taxes. They will continue to support school services and programs not covered under state basic education funding. Revenue from these levies account for about 13.5 % of the district's overall budget.
To help you understand exactly how these replacement levy funds support our students here at Image, I have recorded this short video Image Levy Information.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the impact of these critical levy funds.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Keller, principal
