Hello :-)

My name is Connie Hennessey and I have been at Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School since the school opened in 2013. I love being a part of the Phoenix family. Before coming to HeLa, I worked at Heritage and Union High Schools. I have a wonderful husband of 31 years and we have two great kids. Our daughter graduated from WSU with a degree in Bio-Engineering in 2017, and our son graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Secondary Math Education. I love to hang out with our two Golden Retrievers, read, hike, bike and travel. I believe all students have dignity and worth, and have the capacity to learn and grow. I am committed to helping every student navigate high school and prepare for life after graduation.

Greetings!

My name is Mandy Cervantes and I have been a Counselor at Henrietta Lacks Health & Bioscience High School since 2014. Prior to school counseling I ran the Jack, Will and Rob Boys & Girls Club in Camas for 7 years. It was the work there that assisted me in finding my passion for working with students to pursue their personal, social, academic, and career goals. This school year I plan to provide a fun and interactive environment that fosters a love of learning among the students that I work with. 

In my spare time outside of Hela I coach Softball at Camas High School. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends!
