Mountain View High School's "Jazz Band I" has been invited to perform a showcase concert a the world-renowned Midwest Clinic in Chicago. The Midwest Clinic is the nation's premier music educators conference, attracting students from around the world. We spoke with several students and the band's director about this prestigious honor and the help they need to make this trip a reality.
UHS held a student led all-school assembly. There was traditional music, dancing, a trivia contest and tamale eating contest. Congrats to Mr. Joyce for being crowned the eating contest champ.
Students, families, community members and staff gathered at the ASC to celebrate Hispanic heritage. They enjoyed traditional food, music, dancing and more as they honored the past and sowed inspiration for future generations.
Digital Arts students and staff at Heritage High School have recently dived head-long into stop motion animation film-making. With help and inspiration from a visiting educator from Australia, students crafted two stop motion films - about a North American Bigfoot and an Australian Bigfoot who become friends.

EPS students from across the district in grades 3-8 enjoyed a field trip to the Confluence Land Bridge where they learned about Indigenous relationships with land, water, plants and participated in hands-on activities exploring Native art, design, and ecological knowledge.
A Dozer Dan surprise at Columbia Valley. Volunteers from Read Northwest hosted first graders in the library for a read along for the book "Dozer Day Paves the Way." When the book was finished, Dozer Dan made a surprise appearance. Students also received tickets to Dozer Day Vancouver. This is part of Read Northwest Clark County literacy program.
Our Illahee Ravens had so much fun at our first Garden Recess. Hands in the dirt, hearts in the garden. The Illahee School Garden is a joyful, growing place where students, families, and our community come together. From tasting fresh veggies, to reading under the cheery trees, to sharing garden treasures on the shelf - we're so proud of what's been built.
Pioneer Pride - held a Color Run school fundraiser. Superintendent, Dr. Moloney was on hand to share in the fun.
These Crestline fourth and fifth graders went all out during their fun run event.
The mariachi band from Mountain View High School performed at our first assembly of the year. They were fantastic and we loved it. It was extra special because because some of the musicians used to be Marrion Mustangs.
Thank you to all the volunteers who attended the training session at the Administrative Service Center. You make such a positive impact on students.
Superintendent Dr. Christine Moloney swore in the new Student Board Representatives on October 14, 2025 during a School Board Meeting. Congratulations to Loreli Medina-Cardenas (Senior at HHS) and Daisy Conway (Junior at MVHS).

The Enspire Arts Ambassador Program is a Clark county youth arts leadership initiative designed to support and empower young artists through education, mentorship, and youth philanthropy. Each of these talented individuals has been awarded a $650.00 scholarship to support their arts instruction and has been paired with a mentor to guide them in developing a community-based arts project. Each Ambassador will create and lead dynamic, engaging arts experiences that inspire across Clark County.
Be sure to join us for the Enspire Extravaganza on February 28, 2026 at the Joyce Garver Theater, where our Arts Ambassadors will be featured in an exciting evening celebrating the arts through a vibrant fusion of music, dance, and performance. Camas School District is pleased to host this signature community event, welcoming performing artists, student performers, families, and community members from around the county. On the first day of school, Superintendent Dr. Christine Moloney hopped on an elementary school bus that picked up students headed to York and Burnt Bridge Creek elementary schools. Dr. Moloney chatted with students, families and staff as they navigated the first morning of the school year. There were plenty of high fives with students getting on and off the bus.
