Thanks to the Seattle Reign FC , the RAVE Foundation , CVS Health and an Orchards staff member that never says no, Orchards Elementary School students can now enjoy playing soccer on a brand new mini-pitch

Mt. View Hosts Newspaper Fashion Show
Newspaper Fashion at Its Best! Mountain View High School students in Ms. Small's Digital Arts classes held the 5th annual "Project Runway Newspaper Fashion Show". Student teams don't just create clothing out of newspapers, they need to plan the show, take the pictures and even pick out just the right runway music.
Connecting with Our Spanish-Speaking Families
Family Liaison Adriana Ramirez had a great turnout for her first in-person meeting of the year with Spanish-speaking families! These monthly gatherings give families an opportunity to connect, ask questions and learn how to navigate their students’ school experience.

Deputies from Clark County Sheriff's Office Visit York Elementary School
The deputies talked to students about safety, gave them a tour of their vehicle and of course, took time to read a book. The visit is courtesy of Police Activities League of SW Washington's literacy program.
Mill Plain Students Head to Columbia Springs.
The Mountaineers were the first students to enjoy a fantastic day exploring and learning about the natural environment. Many of our elementary schools will experience this field trip this school year.
In honor of Community Schools Coordinators Appreciation Week, we celebrated our incredible Family & Community Resource Center outreach coordinators and the vital role they play in connecting schools, families and communities. Their dedication, compassion and commitment to removing barriers and supporting students and families make a lasting difference. Join us in celebrating and thanking our amazing coordinators for all they do!
As part of Crestline Elementary School’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, students in the Spanish Language Club, led by teacher Stephanie Castrejon, shared their knowledge of Spanish-speaking countries and taught their classmates some basic conversational Spanish phrases during an all-school assembly.
Congratulations to Orchards Elementary School teacher, Jacelyn Sparks, who was nominated through a competition sponsored by Willows clothing store to have a teacher's Amazon wish list granted. Jacelyn was one of three teachers selected, and she received a surprise visit today with a cart load of items!
Union Student named Arts Ambassador for 2026-27
Lila Hagan (center), a freshman at Union High School, is one of five students from Clark County high schools to be selected as an Arts Ambassador for 2026-27 by Enspire Arts. Lila will take part in an yearlong mentorship program in which students are paired with a working creative professional who helps them design and implement an arts-based commmunity project.
Lila, who was selected from a competitive pool of applicants, specializes in vocal performance.
