For those 6th-8th grade band students who are coming to school in-person after April break, we'll see you soon! Be on lookout for us in the morning your first week back to get a schedule from us; we will be there on your old regular band day. The first week back, plan to meet with us on Zoom when you get home. Starting May 3, we get to see you in person at your school! Email your band teacher if you have any questions.
ALSO, check out what we're working on now! If you haven't been with us for online band and want to come back after April break, you absolutely can. Go to "Projects" and check out what we're working on.
We hope everyone is feeling refreshed from the holiday break, and that you are finding a routine again with your schoolwork. We are planning to have our first virtual concert of 2021 posted in February, featuring music from the concert we missed out on in 2020! Think of it as tying up loose ends and finding closure from a sudden halt to what we knew as normal. See the "Projects" page for details on how to prepare and submit students' recordings.
I'm so excited to share our concert premiere with you! Our students and band teachers have worked exceptionally hard to create this special experience, and we hope you enjoy it. It is premiering (today) on December 18 at 6:00pm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQRaDc3uGxY
The Ode to Joy video will be used as an advertisement for the Jr. Tide Virtual Holiday Concert! Stay tuned...
Make sure you're practicing your music for the Holiday Concert! Holly Jolly (6th Grade) and Minor Holiday Celebration are due Thanksgiving, NOVEMBER 26. It takes a LOT of time to edit the videos, so I need those submitted ASAP. ;-)
The website has been update to make it a little more manageable.
Click on "Project" in the website menu and you will see our newest project, "Ode to Joy." Using a metronome is our big addition for this second project, read the instructions CAREFULLY.
