It is an honor to serve as the principal of Esparto High School. The 2026–2027 school year marks my second year as principal and my third year with the Esparto Unified School District. As a proud member of the Esparto community, I am deeply invested in the success of our students. My wife is an elementary teacher in the district, and our two children attend Esparto schools, making this community not only where I work, but where my family calls home.
I have over 12 years of experience in education, beginning my career as a History and Chicano Studies teacher before earning my Master's in Educational Leadership from San Francisco State University. Outside of school, I enjoy running, coaching youth soccer, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and spending time with my family.
My philosophy is simple: every decision I make is guided by what is best for students. Their education and well-being are my highest priorities. I believe every student deserves to be treated with respect, heard with fairness, and provided the support they need to succeed. I am committed to serving our students, families, and staff while continuing to expand opportunities through strong academics, athletics, clubs, activities, and career pathways. At the same time, I believe accountability, responsibility, and high expectations are essential to preparing our students for success beyond high school.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know our students and families throughout the school year. Please don't hesitate to introduce yourself at an athletic event, or school activity. If you ever have questions, concerns, or simply want to reach out, I am just an email or ParentSquare message away. I look forward to partnering with our families and community as we continue building an Esparto High School where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
