How long have you been teaching and coaching?

This is my 19th year as a teacher. This year is my first year as a Literacy/ ELD coach at Bear Valley Middle School. I have been at Bear Valley Middle School since it opened 13 years ago.

What grades and subjects have you taught?

7th grade Social Studies, Reading, Language Arts, Power Literacy

8th grade Reading & Language Arts

4th grade All subjects

Where have you traveled?

I have traveled to the following countries: Japan, England, Scotland, Italy, German, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, France, Belgium, Canada, and Mexico.

Do you have any pets?

I have two tabby cats. Both of them are 18 years old. Their names are Bailey and Dalmar.

Books: The Secret Garden, Pride and Prejudice, Hunger Games, Charlotte's Web, Harry Potter series

Hobbies: reading, writing, knitting, photography, genealogy, traveling, going to Disneyland

Music: 80s New Wave, soundtracks, pretty much everything else!

Movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Princess Bride, Say Anything, anything Pixar or Disney

Colors: royal purple, dark green, cornflower blue

Animals: butterflies, red-tailed hawks, tigers
