A: Classroom newsletters, weekly updates, and office hours will be posted on Rooms every Sunday evening. 

A: All assignments will be posted on Google Classroom by 8 am each morning.  Students can check the Classwork tab to see their assignments for the day or the To-Do list to see assignments that are missing or upcoming.

A: Have students wake up at the same time as if they were attending school in person.  They should eat breakfast and get dressed. Where possible, reduce distractions when your child is completing schoolwork. This includes noise as well as visual noise or clutter. A designated workspace that is comfortable for your child will be helpful. If possible, students should be working in a public area of their home - kitchen, family room, table, etc. - not in a bedroom or on a bed. It might be a good idea to limit their use of other devices until the schoolwork is done. Some students may need an adult to check on them.

A: If your student needs to miss class for a day or more you will need to call the LLA attendance clerk at 760-432-2388 to excuse the absence.  If your child will be tardy and missing a scheduled Zoom class, please message the classroom teacher on Rooms.  All work missed is expected to be made up and lessons are recorded for later viewing.

A: Live Zoom classes will happen from 8-noon daily with a ten minute break at 10:10am.  The rest of the school day will be spent working on assignments and meeting with teacher(s) for help during office hours/open workshop.  Make sure your child takes a break for movement for at least 5 minutes every hour and schedule some break times throughout the day!

A: Check the Parent Corner on the lesson's homepage for assistance in understanding the objectives.  There are YouTube videos available for every math lesson that you can search for.  The biggest way you can help is by making sure your child read's for at least 45 minutes every day (15 min. as part of their workshop time and 30 min. free-choice after school and completes their assignments.  If you have other concerns, email the teacher!
