SUMMER MASTERY CAMPS
These camps are for those students who exhibit some mastery learning gaps in knowledge and skills. A targeted approach towards increasing readiness in priority standards in ELA and Math is adopted. Students will participate in ELA or Math camps (or both) that devotes 1.5 hours to direct instruction and deliberate practice and then 1 hour of inquiry-based learning that integrates projects and more engaging activities. These camps are FREE.
Students who are eligible to participate in these camps will be sent invitations by the end of April. Registration is via this LINK.
English Learner (EL) STEAM CAMPS
These are specifically designed for our English Learners and both ELs and RFEP (Reclassified Students) are invited to learn and grow together. Fun, inquiry based activities in STEAM are used to contextualize language learning. Students "get their hands dirty" learning English while at the same time building background knowledge.
An EL/Newcomer Camp will be offered that focuses on foundational English Language skills, including phonics and vocabulary. These camps are FREE. Register HERE.
Only English Learners are invited to participate in these camps.
GATE & High Achievers Camps
These camps are designed for our 2nd-6th advanced learners - students participating in our GATE (Gifted and Talented Program) and High Achieving students (although the camps are open to everyone). These camps this year include courses for learning Anatomy and Physiology, Coding and Robotics, and Science and Engineering. We use the award-winning Engineering is Elementary from the Boston Museum of Science. GATE-Certified teachers teach these camps.
We ask for donations ($360 per camp) for these camps to support staffing and materials.
REGISTRATION DONATION PAYMENTS HERE. Thank you for your support.
