TESTING DATES
February 2 - 6: All grade levels 2nd - 7th. 8th graders are not tested for GATE eligibility.
December 1 - January 9: Invitations for Testing and Sign Ups
The test EUSD uses to determine GATE Eligibility is the NNAT-3. We do NOT recommend any tutoring guides or agency.
An NAI score of 132 or better (a PR of 98% or better) is required to participate in EUSD's GATE Program.
TESTING DATES, TIMES AND LOCATIONS:
Greenhills: Monday 2/2/2026 @ 2:30 PM
Maidu: Tuesday 2/3/2026 @ 2:30 PM
Oakhills: Thursday 2/5/2026 @ 2:30 PM
Grades 4-7: Saturday 2/7/2026 @ 9:00 AM
Who is eligible to test? Any EUSD student (enrolled with a student ID) in Grades 2 - 7. The EUSD student should not be taking this test with us for the third time. EUSD funds a 2nd testing opportunity.

Registration will be open from 12/1/2025 to 1/09/2026 by 12:00 PM. We will send out an email with a Google Form link attached to register on 12/1/2025. Once registration closes on 1/09/2026, we are unable to add students. Testing licenses must be purchased in advance, so late registrations cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
TESTING LOCATIONS: Students must test at their school site, unless they are in grades 4–7. Students in grades 4–7 will take the test on Saturday, 2/7/2026, at Maidu Elementary starting at 9:00 AM. There will only be one testing time window held on the Saturday session.

If your student is sick on the day of testing, please do not send them to school. We also ask that if your student is out sick, please do not bring them to test. We will offer a makeup test the following week: the date is to be determined.
