Sports starting Feb 1st: Girls Golf, Boys Tennis and Cross Country

Sports Starting March 8th: Track & Field, Boys Golf and Girls Tennis

Sports Physicals: With sports starting so quickly we recognize that getting in to get a Sports Physical is not easy. We want to share some options for our student athletes:

United Indian Health Services: For our Native students, or students living in Native households please call 707 825-5000 to set up an appointment to receive a Sports Physical.

Open Door: For students who have not yet been able to set up a Sports Physical, on Wednesday February 10th Open Door will be bringing their Mobile Unit to the Arcata High School Main Gym to provide Physicals from 1 pm to 5 pm serving MHS, AHS and EHS students. To take advantage of this opportunity please notes the following:

  1. Students need to call 707 845-9188 to schedule their appointment for that afternoon

  1. When students arrive they must wear a mask and follow all social distancing rules

  1. Students must have their Sports Physical Form filled out and signed by their parent/guardian prior to being seen. For students not accompanied by their parent/guardian please bring an attached note, signed by their parent/guardian, providing permission for Open Door to conduct the physical

  1. At the gym Open Door will take all insurances including Partnership Health Plan, if a student does not have insurance the cost will be $25. No student will be turned away due to an inability to pay.

Concussion Testing:

Calling all athletes that still need to complete a baseline concussion this year. All 9th graders, new EHS students and any student that was diagnosed with a concussion last year - you are required to have a baseline test prior to participating in athletics at EHS.

On Tuesday, at 3:30 pm there will be another concussion test offered, but you must fill out this Google form
