The Eastchester Middle School Chapter of the NHJS is a group of students with a heightened level of commitment to the five pillars of Scholarship, Citizenship, Service, Leadership, and Character.
Eastchester Middle School NJHS members strive to be the best students and people they can be. Each year, members of the NJHS select a community service project that means the most to them and spring into action to make an impact. NJHS members are responsible for the organization, planning, and execution of the agreed-upon group service project. This year, as a group, NJHS has selected Relay for Life and chose to fundraise for the American Cancer Society.
Induction to the NJHS is granted to 8th-grade students during the 2nd half of the year and is contingent upon several factors including GPA, citizenship, leadership, school/community involvement (service), student character, behavior, respect, and overall commitment. If you meet ALL of the aforementioned requirements you will be invited to apply for NJHS membership.
