The Eastchester Middle School Chapter of the NHJS is a group of students with a heightened level of commitment to the five pillars of Scholarship, Citizenship, Service, Leadership, and Character.
Eastchester Middle School NJHS members strive to be the best students and people they can be. Each year, members select a community service project that is most meaningful to them and take action to make a positive impact. NJHS members are responsible for organizing, planning, and executing the agreed-upon group service project. Last year, the group chose Relay for Life and raised funds for the American Cancer Society. It was a highly successful endeavor, and our society felt deeply fulfilled after participating in this meaningful project.
Induction to the NJHS is granted to 8th-grade students during the 2nd half of the year and is contingent upon several factors including GPA, citizenship, leadership, school/community involvement (service), student character, behavior, respect, and overall commitment. If you meet ALL of the aforementioned requirements you will be invited to apply for NJHS membership.
