Erika Lunenfeld is an individual who values boldness coming from oftenly marginalized voices. She's the founder of Megaphone Literary Magazine, and her poetry has been published in magazines such as Adolescent Voices. In her free time, you can find her listening to music or watching films!

Anastasia Abramova is passionate about empowering individuals to use their voices - both inside and outside of their communities. She loves volunteering, playing tennis, and participating in activities such as Mock Trial, Debate Club, Model Congress and Model United Nations.

Mariam Khan

Columnist • Class of 2024

Mariam Khan has had a love for writing since a very young age. In her free time, she loves reading and writing short stories. She loves traveling and has been to 37 different states and 5 countries. She hopes to continue these endeavors and travel the world. She is the president of the Going Green Club and the Future Medical Professionals Club.

Selma Petrie

Columnist • Class of 2024

Selma Petrie has been a member of The Eaglet since her junior year and enjoys connecting with her fellow peers and teachers, as well as documenting the school happenings, through her writing in the school’s newspaper. She is a competitive tennis player and a captain of the EHS Girls Varsity Tennis Team, and also takes part in National Honor Society, Going Green Club, and various other honor societies. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing word games, and spending time with friends and family.

Victoria Reith

Columnist • Class of 2024

Victoria Reith has been a part of the Eaglet since her junior year. She enjoys writing articles and educating her peers on current topics within the school and local community. Victoria trains five days a week as a competitive dancer. She is a part of Going Green Club, National Honor Society, and several other clubs/organizations. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with friends and family.

Ava Badlyans

Ava Badlyans is passionate about creative expression and allowing people’s unique ideas to be heard. She enjoys creative writing and reading as well as listening to music.

Kate Kim

Kate Kim is an artist who likes to express herself in many ways, and writing is one of them. Her curiosity leads her to unique observations and experiences like that one time she ended up skiing in -20 degrees Fahrenheit in New York. Apart from writing, she likes to spend time with her dog and go on runs at 5 am. 

Kaya Nolan

Kaya Nolan is person who values impartiality and accuracy when unearthing the truth under any circumstance. He enjoys cooking, hiking, and indulges in organizations such as the Future Business Leaders of America, the French Club and National French Honor Society, and the Going Green Club. 



Ayla Mir

Comic Artist • Class of 2025

A fond lover of the visual arts since childhood, Ayla Mir can often be found creating art of her own during her free time. She especially enjoys portrait drawing but also likes to move outside of her usual comfort zone of pencils and inks to try other mediums that can help expand her artistic abilities. She is also the Vice President of the Art Honor Society and a frequent attendee of Art Club.

Fernanda Portillo Castro

Columnist • Class of 2026

Fernanda Portillo loves spending time outdoors and exploring the beauty of nature. She’s been competitively swimming since she was 7 and feels a deep connection with the ocean and water. Her favorite hobbies are acting, painting, writing and spending time with her friends and family. She spends time after school participating in clubs such as Mock Trial and FBLA.



Camilla Quintero

Camilla Quintero is dedicated to capturing moments and events through the art of storytelling. She enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, and playing volleyball. 



 Nomuun Undrakh

Columnist • Class of 2026

As an avid hater of boredom, Nomuun Undrakh spends her days keeping as busy as possible. Depending on the specific day or time, this may involve volleyball, tutoring, and the occasional New York Times daily game. She is driven by a fervent commitment to fostering a more equitable and inclusive future for all, no matter their socioeconomic background. If she could choose one superpower to have, it would be to not require sleep.
