This winter, the students of EMS choir worked in small groups to select a song in answer to this prompt: "Pick a song that all children in America know to help them better understand black music culture." Their performance preparations centered around our Black History Month talent show.

Each group partnered with members of EMS Digital Music Production, who served as music producers. The DMP students created the backtracks, and recorded the vocalists. DMP is a project-based class where students can work at one of 4 experience levels. Wallace helped master some of the tracks, but if her name doesn't appear, what you hear is made entirely by students!

Each group developed a videography plan & dictated their own video recording sessions. Wallace assembled the final product to match the students' vision as much as possible.
