We are excited to welcome you to Euclid Middle School and look forward to meeting you in the fall. Starting middle school is an exciting time in every student's life, and we are ready to help make this transition smooth.

We have gifted you all a copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl to start your journey. This classic children's book is about five kids who find a "Golden Ticket" in a candy bar and win a chance to tour Willy Wonka's mysterious candy-making operation.

The book will play a significant role in your first few weeks at E.M.S. You will all be given the "Golden Ticket to 6th Grade Success" during sixth-grade orientation! Every 6th grader, no matter your elementary school, will have read the same book. There will be trivia questions to test your knowledge and a lot of prizes as you journey through your first day of middle school! We will also be using the book to introduce new reading strategies during the first few weeks of school.
