By clicking the magnifying glass on the search bar you go into an advanced search allowing you to search without keywords or do a title search.
The search function runs through the metadata (Title, Blurb, Subject, Category, Source) for each video. Avoid terminology that doesn't tend to appear in programme listings.
The clipping function in ETV produces an html file, not a video file. That means that it is really just a link to the selected section of the video file in the ETV Catalogue. It cannot be downloaded/ uploaded/ added to EVA.
Once you select a video from the ETV catalogue you can:
Send the video straight to EVA and save at the bottom of the screen
Download the video file (.mp4) and use the trim tool available in Pictures on Windows 10 or Quicktime on iOS to trim the video to the 5 minute recommended length for project videos - When you open a downloaded video file in Windows 10, click the pencil and select "Trim". Use the time shifters on the time bar to cut the video down to size then save the clip. If the video is open in Quicktime you'll find Trim on the Edit menu.
Once the newly created clips have been saved they can be added to ELINK using Drag and Drop.
Any videos in ELINK can be added to EVA - Click the Cog and select "Add to EVA"
