MONDAY: Extended Gathering Day

Exhibition Ettiquite Town Hall: We will be meeting in the cafeteria to discuss Exhibitions, what to expect, and proper audience/performer ettiquite! When we return, we will review details for tomorrow (these are in the announcement sidebar).

8 - 8:30 | Academic Advisement
Gathering: Go Around - Think of something you need to accomplish this week. Give a thumbs up when you have thought of something so I know you are ready.
Share Out: We will go around the circle and each person can share.

Add these things to your planner/Google Keep!
NOTE: There are only three weeks left in the semester and we have a couple days of Exhibitions and no school! We need to stay focused on getting done what is assigned and getting caught up on things that were missing from earlier in the semester.
Grade Tracker: Open up to your grade tracker for semester one in your binder. Put the date at the top, then color up to your grade for each class. You can check your grades by logging in to Skyward and clicking gradebook. If you want to know more specifics about your grade, click the drop down arrow next to the class to see specific assignment grades.
SMART Goal Setting: Use the evidence from Skyward and what you have coming up in classes to write your SMART Goal in your binder! This may be a class that you are not passing and need to improve, or something that is coming up due that you have not yet completed.
Partner Check In: Share your goal with your assigned buddy! This is the person (besides me) who will hold you accountable this week for your goal. Check if your partner has...

8:30 - 9:30 | Guided Work Time
**After academic advisement, write student goals on the board and transition into Guided Work Time! Remind students there are only a few working days left this semester, so it is important to complete their goals as soon as possible. If a student has an EOL today and wants to rehearse, that is fine, but they should be supervised or in a space near to your room where you can check on them.**
9:30 - 9:40 | Review Expectations
Circle Up!
Gathering Prompt: Think of one expectation we should remember when walking to the art center and when viewing presentations of learning. Give a thumbs up when you are ready to share. We will go around to share once everyone is ready!
Some expectations to cover if students do not think of them on their own.
Phones are left at school. If they are seen on the walk or at the JMKAC, students will be asked to turn them in to a teacher until the end of the day.
We cannot bring anything with us to the art center - leave EVERYTHING at school.
We are walking multiple times each day - WEAR A COAT AND WARM CLOTHING!!!
We should stay on the sidewalks and walk to and from the art center (no going on grass/walking/running around people/touching the snow ice or trees, etc).
We are walking as a group! Please do not run ahead or get behind.
During presentations, we should sit with our feet in front of us and eyes on the presenter, so we are showing respect to the presenters who worked hard on their project!
All students are in the theater, so we will sit with our advisory, unless you are about to present. If you are side talking, your advisor will choose a seat for you.
We will meet for attendance right when we get to the art center in _____ location.
Whole Group: It is important to remember that our peers worked hard on their presentations and we should be respectful and encouraging of their work! Please try to participate in the thinking routines and show your appreciation in an appropriate way. Please make sure you use the bathroom before we go.

10:00 - 12:00 | Exhibitions at JMKAC
Afternoon Plans:
Lunch from 12:15 - 12:45 will be WITH advisory!
Head back to the JMKAC at 12:45 to make it in time for 1pm presentations. Choose a spot to sit with your advisory.
We will return at 3pm when presentations end. There will be about 10 minutes left in the day once we are back. Have students circle up and share one value from exhibitions that day, then they are dismissed!
WEDNESDAY: Exhibitions!
Period 7 will end at 11:15 today instead of 11:30 so that students can get lunch and we can leave by 11:45. Lunch will be in advisory rooms!

12:00 - 12:45 | Visual Art Gallery Walk
Before we go, put your advisees in groups of 4-5 students. Review how the gallery walk works - start at one presenter, listen to their presentation and ask questions, move as a group to the next open presenter.
12:45 - 1:00 | Walk back to School
Meet in advisory when you get back to school. Send music students straight to the cafeteria for setup. Head to the cafeteria at 1:10

9th Grade Orientation: If you are in 8th grade, please conisder attending the 9th Grade Orientation for Étude High School to find out more about what Étude has to offer! The meeting is Monday, January 8th from 6 - 7:30 at Étude High in the Dramanities Room.
6th Grade Orientation: On Tuesday, we will be having an orientation for 5th graders interested in attending Étude Middle School next year! Please spread the word to any 5th grade friends you may have. The meeting is Tuesday, January 9th from 6 - 7:30 in the Math Room.

Exhibitions of Learning: EOLs are this week Tuesday - Thursday. Here is the schedule. Please remember to dress appropriately for walking to and from the JMKAC! You will not be allowed to bring phones or anything else with you to the art center. We will return to school for lunch both days. Please let me know if you have any questions!
No School Monday: On Monday, January 15th, there is no school.
