Welcome to Social Studies @ Étude Middle School!

On this website, you can access all information that is necessary to be successful in Social Studies at Étude Middle School. Please use the subpages on the top bar to access Daily Agendas and information about Assignments. Below you will find out more about me as well as office hours when I am available for questions or makeup assignments.

This year is all about Society and Change. We will be covering the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and 1400-1600s. Students will study different parts of society in the past in order to understand why and how things change. The first part of the year will be studying the Middle Ages and understanding how fundamentally that 1000 years of history is so different from our lives now. We will then look at the Renaissance and compare it to other places geographically around the world to understand how that time has influenced our society now. Lastly, we will look at folklore and explore where they come from and how those stories still impact our society today.
