1. Planets move in an oval-shaped path around the Sun.
The path is called an ellipse, not a perfect circle.
2. Planets move faster when they are closer to the Sun.
When a planet is farther away, it moves more slowly.
3. The farther a planet is from the Sun, the longer it takes to go around the Sun.
For example, Earth takes 1 year to orbit the Sun, while planets farther away, like Neptune, take much longer.

Handling and interaction rules:
No handling: Do not pick up the tortoise unnecessarily, as this can cause stress and health problems.
Observe from a distance: Appreciate the tortoise's natural behavior by observing it from outside its enclosure.
Respect the habitat: Do not disturb the enclosure's setup, decorations, or the tortoise's burrow.

Take 5 minutes to walk around the room, jotting down your observations through creative hunt thinking routine
What is the main purpose of the room?
What are the different parts of the room you noticed? You can be as specific as you would like.
What parts are especially unique or creative, specific to science?
Head back to your table and have each person share out one part of the room they jotted down and what they thought the purpose was.
I will count down from 5 when it is time to wrap up your conversations. Each table will then share out one observation from the room and we will discuss how this connects to the science classroom and it's purpose.
