Jamboard allows teachers and students to collaborate together through a virtual whiteboard. Using text, pictures, sticky notes, and other tools, group projects and collaboration becomes possible for virtual and synchronous learning. See examples below of "Wonder Walls" created by classes using Jamboard.
Interactive Jamboard that will take students through the basics of using Jamboard. It will force you to make a copy, so the original isn't changed. This is not normally how you would want to use Jamboard.
This is an interactive Jamboard that I use when introducing a new topic in Social Studies. I combine an image with the Q chart and encourage to think like historians while developing questions that will help guide instruction throughout the unit.
This works great in math for small groups. I create a frame with several math problems to solve and add a sticky note at the bottom. I duplicate the frame enough times for each student in my group. Then, I type the name of one student on the sticky so that each student can work on their own frame. Students can zoom in on each problem to make it easier to see and write. I am able to see their work in real time to address misconceptions.
Wake students up with an inspirational quote, joke of the day, important reminders, and a question of the day.
Add a passage and an image. Have students annotate using the drawing tool and sticky notes.
Show students images of artifacts and let them sketch the artifacts and make inferences about how the artifacts were used.
Use Jamboard to show migration routes. Students can also complete a blank copy to show understanding.

This is a "basics" video about Jamboard - the online collaborative whiteboard. It goes through the steps slowly and shows you work arounds for some things that have not been fixed in Jamboard yet.
Learn all you need to know about using Jamboard to allow students to collaborate on projects, brainstorm together, and more.
