EIS will begin a Social Studies Cadre during the 21/22 school year during 7 Friday Early Release sessions. The cadre will be led by Jana Kirchner and consist of teachers across the district from elementary to middle to high school. They will dive deeper into the KAS Social Studies standards and examine inquiry practices and compelling questions in instruction. They will also work collaboratively on curriculum maps and pacing guides, unit plans, and common assessments.
