AP 2-D Design

This is an advanced studio art class where students can pursue an independent series of artworks using their creative ideas and interests in video, photography, graphic design, or mixed media. Students focus on developing three aspects of their art: concept, composition, and technique. As they delve into the ideas inspiring their art, they refine the skills and methods to bring their concepts to life. There is an emphasis on critiques, critical decision-making, problem-solving, and reflection. Students follow the guidelines of the College Board and use the entire year to build a portfolio for final submission as evidence of completion and to apply for college equivalency credit.
