The ChromeZone helps with all problems relating to your Chromebook. This includes giving out loaners to students who forgot their Chromebooks, repairing broken Chromebooks, and charging Chromebooks.
We also have a programming club called CodETHS, which coordinates contributions to school-sponsored open-source software projects, and provides a forum to discuss student-made software.
Limited and Extended Warranty
Limited Warranty (comes with Chromebook)
Each Chromebook comes with a limited factory warranty. This warranty only lasts for the first school year. It covers the cost of repair for manufacturer defects (such faulty speakers, track-pad, keyboard, etc.), but cracked screens and damages due to accidents or abuse can incur repair costs up to the cost of the device. Lost or stolen Chromebooks increase that cost to $285.00 to replace.
Extended Warranty (optional, but recommended)
Extended warranty coverage excludes batteries and chargers. The optional extended warranty may be purchased for one school year or four year coverage can be purchased in the freshman year.
There are two options for the extended warranty -
Accident coverage - $30 for the 2021/2022 school year with four year coverage at a cost of $89;
Accident & Theft coverage - $36 for the 2021/2022 school year with four year coverage at a cost of $99.
