For many of the senior artists at Evanston Township High School, Senior Showcase begins with the aspirations of a young freshman hoping and planning that one day their artwork will hang in the art wing halls. They gather all their best work from the last four years, and display it for all to see. For the second year, those plans have shifted, but we hope to reach even more people by taking our seniors’ work online!
So now the students’ dreams and plans have materialized in digital form, providing us with some of the strongest, most powerful creativity we have had the joy to experience. Although this exhibition is truly about the amazing work of each and every artist involved, there are 3 awards given each year; the Louise Goffe Scholarship, the Patrick Beighley Memorial Award, and the Catherine Stallings Award. All of our senior showcases are presented below as well as our award winners. Please take the time to look through them all. You are in for a treat!
The Louise Goffe Memorial scholarship of $4000 is awarded to a senior who displays excellence in the visual arts and plans on pursuing art or a related field in their post-secondary education.
The Beighley award is given to a senior who's showcase displays quality of concept, variety of approach, technical skill, and breadth of medium. It consists of $500, donated by fellow students and friends of the late Patrick Beighley, an ETHS Visual Arts student alumni.
The Stallings award is given to a senior who's showcase displays quality of concept, variety of approach, technical skill, and breadth of medium. It consists of $350, donated by the Catherine Stallings Family, an ETHS Visual Arts student alumni.
All award winners were chosen by ETHS Fine Art Teachers and Administrators
