About me: This year (2022-23) is my 14th year teaching at ETHS. I am a graduate of Princeton University (A.B., Math/Economics), The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (M.S., Political Science), Northwestern University (J.D.; M.S.Ed., Secondary Education/Mathematics), the Ross Mathematics Program, and USAMO MOP (USA Math Olympiad Team Member, XXI International Mathematics Olympiad). I am Co-Head Coach of the ETHS Math Team, a former Chicago All-Stars American Regions Math League (ARML) Coach, and Past President of the North Suburban Mathematics League. I am a winner of the Edyth May Sliffe Award for Distinguished Teaching from the Mathematical Association of America, American Mathematics Competitions Program (2020), the Joseph B. Whitehead Educator of Distinction Award from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation (2017), and the Outstanding Educator Certificate of Recognition from the University of Chicago (2013). Prior to teaching, I was a lawyer in Chicago (commercial litigation) for 17 years.
