Beginning in 1992, the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) has provided skills and workforce opportunities year-round for thousands of Evanston youth ages 14-18. The program gives participating youth up to nine weeks of entry level work experience in a variety of jobs & industries through community based organizations, city government departments, and private sector businesses.
Visit the City of Evanston Website for MSYEP Job Fair details. This year's job fair is on Saturday, February 28 from 9am to 2pm at Robert Crown Community Center.
HERE is the website for more information. Y.O.U. offers a full-day summer program for youth from grades 2–12 that provides experiential learning, recreation, and exposure to enriching opportunities. This program is free of cost to youth and their families thanks to public and private grants along with contributions from our generous community.
The Youth Job Center offers one-on-one employment advising, career exploration, and summer job info. Request Youth Job Center employment support here: https://youthjobcenter.org/sign-up-for-yjc
