Lincoln Book Award @ETHS

What is the Lincoln Book Award?

  • The Lincoln Award Program is a statewide program designed to encourage HS students to read.

  • Each year Illinois librarians and HS students put together a list of 20 nominees. (This list can include both adult and young adult fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novels.)

  • The book that gets the most student votes statewide is declared that year's winner!

But what do I actually do?

  • Read! Then, once you finish a nominee, please fill out this quick check-in form so we can add that title to your tally.

  • You only need to read FOUR of the nominated titles between now and mid-March in order to vote.

  • The REAL PRIZE, of course, is the pleasure you derive from reading, BUT reading more than four books also earns you bonus prizes, including gift cards to local businesses!

And the winners are...
