Almir Karabegovic received his PhD in technical sciences from the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, in 2009.
He is a Full Professor at the same Faculty and Lead Researcher at GAUSS Center for Geospatial Research Sarajevo. He is Senior Member of IEEE, as well as ACM and AIS Also, he is a member of Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) and member of Center for Disease Control and Geohealth Studies, Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
His professional interests include Geoinformatics (GIS), Artificial Intelligence, Geostatistics, Information Systems Analyse and Design, and Database Systems. He has participated in 100+ projects, published four books and 50+ scientific publications.
