Techshilla is a community building initiative with aim of imparting technical skills to girls from underrepresented areas. Techshilla is incubated at First Girl's only university in Northern India , situated at Barusahib , Himachal Pradesh- also known as divine valley. Techshilla aims to create a chain of volunteer mentors who not only are technology proficient but they pay forward and uplift the girl community into Coding and Programming. This programming club has a unique fees to be charged: The amount of hours you are taught programming by live and face to face tutoring, those many hours are added in your volunteering account which in turn you have to spend teaching others! Through this, a chain is propagated and a strong community is built around in this area.
