SCC Purpose
The SSC develops the content of the SPSA (EC Section 64001[g][1]). The SPSA, including proposed expenditure of funds allocated to the school through the ConApp and the LCAP, if any, must be reviewed and updated annually by the SSC (EC Section 64001[i]).
This includes at a minimum, the SSC must:
Develop and approve the SPSA, including the proposed expenditures of funds.
Recommend the SPSA, including proposed expenditures of funds, to the LEA’s local governing board or body for approval.
Provide ongoing review throughout the school year of the implementation of the strategies/services in the SPSA to ensure the plan is being carried out to address the needs of the school and its students.
Make modifications to the SPSA, if a need arises.
Annually evaluate the progress made toward the school’s goals to increase the academic achievement of all students.
Perform all other duties assigned to the SSC by the local governing board or body of the LEA and by state law.
We are looking for 3 parents and 3 students to serve on ELAC. Please consider joining. Your participation is invaluable. Once we have the list of interests, we will send it out for a voting election. Click here to join.
ELAC (English-Learner Advisory Committee) is a committee composed of parents, staff, and community members specifically designed to advise school officials on the English Learner Program services. ELAC advises the Principal and School Community on programs and services for English Learners (ELs).
During ELAC meetings, we discuss the English Language program and goals. Parents will learn common core standards, curriculum, district, state, and federal laws. In addition, each meeting covers topics designed to provide your family with the tools to help your teen be college and career ready. The ELAC committee is crucial because ELAC makes direct recommendations to the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). ELAC is open to all parents. We meet in the evening.
Please fill out this Google Form if you are interested in being part of this Committee.

Attendance Awareness Month
Raiders show up:
The less a student attends school, the less likely they are to be successful in school.
Missing 2 days a month means a student misses 10% of the school year
It impacts grades and attendance and is even correlated to behavioral issues
Please continue to encourage students to be on time and discuss the importance of being on time everyday.

Saturday Learning Lounge (Saturday School)
More than 50 students attended our first Saturday school session. Students used the space to complete assignments and support one another. Students can attend Saturday school to make up unexcused absences and as a safe space to do coursework.
Thank you to Mr. Leal , Ms. Guttal, and Mr. Trang for supporting students in our first session!
We had a wonderful two days of Club Rush on August 26 and 27! More than 60 clubs set up tables, shared their passions, and recruited students to join their organizations. It was exciting to see so many students getting involved and finding communities that connect with their interests.
On Friday, August 28, we kicked off the school year with our Welcome Back Rally during lunch in the X-Quad! This year’s theme was Disneyland, with each class representing a different part of the park:
Class of 2030: Main Street, U.S.A.
Class of 2029: Galaxy’s Edge
Class of 2028: Cars Land
Class of 2027: Pixar Pier
Classes competed in fun games and showed off their school spirit through energetic chants and cheers! It was a fantastic way to bring our Raider community together and celebrate the start of a new school year.
Athletics
Football Season has begun and we are ready to host our first home games starting with our game against Homestead High School on Friday August 4th, 2026.

We hosted our 27th Annual Youth Cheer Clinic this past weekend and welcomed nearly 100 young participants, ages 4–13, for a fun-filled day of cheer, energy, and Raider Pride! It was wonderful to see our young cheerleaders learning new skills, building confidence, and creating memories with our Raider community. A special thank-you to everyone who helped make this event such a success!
