Our 1st semester Honor Roll Breakfast was a success! 167 families came through this morning to enjoy coffee, donuts, and hot cocoa. Lots of smiles and congratulations and pictures to start the day. It was an amazing morning!

On Friday, our Leilani Cortez Ramirez officially signed her letter of intent to play soccer for the University of Arizona. Leilani will play D1 soccer at UofA on a full-ride scholarship. It was a heartfelt and emotional celebration on Friday afternoon. Congratulations to Leilani!

Congratulations to our varsity cross country team for winning our division and being Santa Teresa East champions! Our amazing team ran amazing races yesterday and made history! Congratulate our amazing cross country athletes for their huge win - Alex Herrera, Jonathan Kammerer, Hansel Lopez , Kevin Baguinon, Anthony Quan, Forrest Herrera, Sebastian Hernandez. Congratulations to the Girl's Flag Football for the first victory in James Lick Girl's Flag Football history, beating Piedmont Hills 12-7 on Thursday afternoon. Samarah West threw two touchdown passes, the first to Izkra Gomez, and the game-winning touchdown to Ashely Nieto. Bella Palomino and Alex De Los Santos also contributed on offense. The defense, anchored by Iris Gomez, Juliette Bradley, Angie Alvarez, Rkkarrcya Levingston, Daisy Gonzalez, Giselle Chacon, Carolyn Tran, and Marlie Haro, sealed the win with a defensive stand to end the game. Great job Lady Comets!

Congratulations to our JV Football team for their first win of the season, beating Monta Vista High School 31-12. This momentous victory marks their first winning JV football game since the 2018-2019 football season.

14 of our ASB & Leadership students proudly represented James Lick at a 3 day overnight ESUHSD Leadership Camp at Santa Clara University from July 23 to July 25th. They learned a lot of valuable leadership skills, met a ton of student leaders from the district, and are super energized to lead our campus spirit and engagement this school year!

Adamari is the recipient of the Grant Imahara STEAM Foundation and FAST Scholarship for her stellar work in science. Adamari has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship.

Masah Kikhia, has won two awards from the Synopsys Silicon Valley and Technology Championship! Masah placed 2nd under the category of Physical Sciences. She also won 3rd place and $25 from American Vacuum Society. Please congratulate Masah when you see her and ask her about her 2 year project, "Low Cost Prototype For Measuring Magnetic Field Distributions Using Electron Deflection."
