Struggling in a Class?
Steps to take when struggling in a class
Email your teacher to discuss specific concerns or struggles you are experiencing in the class and ask for help.
Request and attend a Tutorial Period with your teacher to get extra help. This can be done on a regular basis or as needed. This is the Tutorial Schedule: COMING SOON
The district has provided paper.co, which can be accessed through ARMS.
Schedule a Student/Teacher/Parent Zoom Conference to discuss strategies that will help you improve your grade. Invite your School Counselor.
If the above steps have NOT been successful, contact your School Counselor to discuss other options and possibly initiate an SST Meeting with the Coordinator and teachers.
Grading Periods
Students will receive grades every six weeks. It is extremely important to monitor Canvas regularly for class updates. Create a weekly time management calendar to stay organized. Are you missing assignments? Unsatisfactory grades may be associated with the following: missed or incomplete assignments, lack of participation, poor attendance, and/or low test scores.
