Your Mission:
Choose a Topic
Volcanoes, earthquakes, germs, gravity, electricity, or another big discovery.
Research It
Find 3 important facts.
Why is it important? Who discovered it?
Comic Time!
Create characters (Dogman, Captain Underpants, or your own).
Tell the story of the discovery in comic form.
Make it funny and smart.
Teach Your Reader
Add captions or speech bubbles that explain the science clearly.
End Product: A comic that teaches + entertains.
Bonus: Share with a friend and quiz them on what they learned.
 📘 Teacher Guide
Objectives: Transform informational content into narrative; communicate through humor and art; synthesize research into creative product.
DOK/Bloom’s: DOK 3 (research + explain), DOK 4 (synthesize into comic), Bloom’s analyze/create.
Materials: Kid-friendly science texts, art supplies, comic templates.
Differentiation: Provide templates for reluctant writers; allow digital comic creators (Pixton, Canva).
Assessment: Comic must demonstrate factual accuracy + humor/creativity.
