Travel the world through art styles + create your own.
Your Mission:
Pick 3 Cultures
Examples: Japanese woodblock prints, Aboriginal dot art, Mexican murals.
Study the Art
What materials, colors, and ideas do they use?
What does the art tell us about their culture?
Make Your Own
Recreate each style — with your twist.
Example: Dogman surfing in a Japanese woodblock wave.
Curate an Exhibit
Arrange your works into a “museum” (wall, table, digital slideshow).
Write short captions explaining what inspired each.
End Product: Art portfolio + mini museum.
Bonus: Invite family/friends for a “gallery walk.”
📘 Teacher Guide
Objectives: Analyze global art forms; create new works inspired by them; explain cultural values through art.
DOK/Bloom’s: DOK 3 (analyze cultural meaning), DOK 4 (create portfolio + museum), Bloom’s analyze/create/evaluate.
