My name is Casey Schardan, and I am excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher! 

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2005 and later pursued my passion for education by earning my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from National Louis University.

This is my ninth year teaching in East St. Louis School District 189, and I am proud to be a member of the WYSOE family.

My husband and I have been happily married for 21 years and are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Lucas (20), Sophia (18), and Josephine (15).

Lucas is currently completing an apprenticeship with a mobile auto body shop and hopes to open his own business next spring. Sophia is beginning an exciting new chapter at Harvard this fall, where she will be competing in track and field. Josephine is a sophomore in high school who enjoys being a member of the marching band and playing the flute.
