ESSEC Business School is honored to host the 2026 Marketing Dynamics Conference (MDC) in Cergy and La Defense.
Founded over 25 years ago at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, the Marketing Dynamics Conference (MDC) has journeyed to a succession of prestigious venues around the globe. It is the premier gathering for scholars tackling dynamic quantitative marketing challenges—with far‑reaching implications for industry, consumer welfare, and public policy. MDC remains intentionally intimate, fostering close‑knit networking, collaboration, and deep dives into state‑of‑the‑art methodologies and high‑impact research topics. Renowned for its rigorous discussions and detailed constructive feedback, the conference equips presenters with the insights needed to refine their work for publication in the leading journals of our field. Strategically scheduled immediately before both the EMAC and Marketing Science Conferences, MDC allows overseas colleagues to combine trips and optimize their time in Europe. This year, ESSEC Business School will host all conference activities—from sessions and receptions to lunches and the gala dinner—set against the vibrant backdrop of Paris, ensuring an enriching and unforgettable experience for every attendee.

For more than 25 years, MDC is a high-quality boutique conference on marketing problems with relevance to practice using rigorous methods including but not limited to machine learning, time series, Bayesian learning, hidden Markov models, consumer learning and behavior, structural econometric models, market response models, marketing optimization, randomized control trials, and causal inference.
The conference offers extended time (ca. 40 minutes) for vibrant and in-depth discussion— approximately 25 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for discussion per paper. Profit from detailled feedback from experts in your domain and find the help to advance your research before submission. No surprise that MDC has an outstanding track record of presented papers finding their place in A-publications.
MDC is providing great networking opportunities on marketing dynamics, quantitative marketing, and managerial marketing scholars in a small boutique for more than 25 years. It is a conference setting of about 100 high-caliber participants.
The conference is proud to help students and junior scholars with advancing their research in a meaningful way and giving them guidance.
