Return to school Procedure
We are very excited to see the students again on Monday January 18th.
All students back full-time
Our school board and the Ministry approved, due to our small class sizes, that all our students are coming back to school in person full-time. This is good news.
Masks
The students can come in with their usual mask, if they don’t have procedural ones at home. Once at school, all students will be provided with a procedural mask. The second mask will be provided later in the day.
On the first day, we will provide a third mask to be used for the next morning (If possible, please bring a ziploc bag or a paper bag to put it in). That one will count for the first one of the next day, and we will provide the second one later around lunch hour (4 hours of use). Students will then receive another new one to be used for the next morning.
Students have to wear their mask at all times, in the hallways, in their classroom, on the bus, etc.
When you take off the mask, do not play with it. Wash your hands after manipulating a used mask. Put your used mask in a garbage bin.
Eating / Gym + Cafeteria
The only time students will be allowed to take off their mask is in gym class when they play, and or when they are eating. When students eat they are to be either seated in the cafeteria at the assigned table (by bubble) or seated at their desk in their classroom (by bubble).
As soon as they are done eating, they should put their mask back. Students should not walk around & eat or drink. If students want to have a snack, they can do so in their classroom, then, they can go do the other things they need to do. Also, please, do not share food.
Students will be asked to sit on one side of the tables in the cafeteria, in order to respect the minimum distance between other groups. Students can also come back to their classroom to eat their lunch, but have to maintain distance while eating (when the mask is off).
Entrance & circulation in the school
As usual the ONLY door to be used to enter and leave the building, for our students, is the door number 1. The ONLY staircase to be used is the one beside the elevator.
Distance between students
If in the same group, there is no distanciation in the same group bubble, unless they are eating/drinking or playing a sport in gym class.
A physical distance of 2 metres has to be maintained between students from different class groups, as much as possible. We know it will be difficult to stay 2m away from other people, but try to keep a reasonable distance when the 2m distance is not possible.
Use of hand-sanitizer / Cleaning procedure
Students are also asked to continue to wash their hands when they come in the building and when they go in their classrooms. Please, use the hand-sanitizer liquid only for washing your hands. It is not to wash desks or materials. There are spray bottles of cleaner/disinfectant and cloths in each classroom that can be used to clean desks.if needed. Ask a teacher for help if you need to clean something.
Lockers & desks
Students will organize their locker when they come back with their materials. It would be nice if things were kept organized, in case we have to go back to online teaching again some time in the future. Please bring in the two (2) reusable grocery bags to keep in your locker in case of this.
Students should try to organize their books for the day, so they have to go to their lockers the least amount possible, avoiding frequent contacts with other bubbles.
Desks should be kept organized, even if you have many books or binders, you need space to work properly. Nothing should be on the floor or on shelves. Your things should be on YOUR desk only. We need to limit contacts and organize ourselves efficiently in case of another closure.

Thank you for your help and collaboration! We are all looking forward to our old good ‘normal life’, and it is by putting our efforts together that we will get there.
See you on Monday!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me! Thank you!
