This American English Teacher’s Guide was tested during training sessions with more than 600 Ministry of Education English teachers and in a certificate course with 350 teachers. Their feedback was collected and incorporated into this guide for this final publication.
The Instituto Cultural Dominico-Americano and The Institute for Collaborative Learning at Centro Espiral Maná created this guide with funding provided by the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo. This American English Teacher’s Guide was designed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in the Dominican Republic to support the implementation of the Ministry’s new student-centered English curriculum.
Twenty percent of the activities in this guide came from the U.S. Department of State’s American English resources collection and can be found at: https://americanenglish.state.gov/resources-0.
