Literacy - Comprehension Strategies
1. I can share my personal thoughts to understand what I read, see, or hear.
2. I can identify and comprehend (understand) the personal thoughts and feelings (perspectives) of each character.
3. I can integrate my knowledge of phonics (letter sounds) and sight vocabulary with my knowledge of language and context clues to read unfamiliar words in context.
4. I can monitor understanding by confirming or revising (editing) inferences and predictions (my guesses and ideas) based on information in text.
Numeracy - Multiplication
Demonstrate an understanding of multiplication (2- or 3-digit by 1-digit) to solve problems.
1. I can use personal strategies for multiplication with and without concrete materials.
2. I can use charts to solve multiplication questions (non-regrouping and regrouping).
Numeracy - Division
I can represent and explain division using equal sharing and equal grouping.
I can create and solve problems in context that involve equal sharing and equal grouping.
I can model equal sharing and equal grouping using concrete and visual representations, and record the process symbolically.
I can relate division to multiplication.
Social Studies - Values & Attitudes; Communication
I can recognize how stories of people and events provide multiple perspectives on past and present events.
I can value and respect my own and other cultural identities.
I can create visual images for particular audiences and purposes.
Art - Drawing Strategies
