Project Breathless congratulates Rashid Sumaila on Tyler Prize 

Project Breathless congratulates collaborator Rashid Sumaila, who, with his colleague Daniel Pauly, was awarded the 2023 Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement, often described as the ‘Nobel Prize for the Environment”. The duo were recently interviewed in Time Magazine about their lives, work and passion for ocean health and racial justice.

Project Breathless on Marine Conservation Happy Hour podcast

Project Breathless collaborators Karin Limburg and Liz LoGiudice were interviewed on the Marine Conservation Happy Hour podcast about the impacts of low oxygen levels on Baltic cod, and the cod songs they composed from sonified cod otolith data.  

Dr. Rashid Sumaila joins Global ocean oxygen network

Project Breathless collaborator Rashid Sumaila has joined the Global Ocean Oxygen Network (GO2NE), a working group of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), joining Karin Limburg and and many globally recognized scientists.  For more information about GO2NE, visit https://www.ocean-oxygen.org/.
