November 2025
It all started with a YouTube video.
Back in the spring, MMS student Ranger Rivard was watching a video on YouTube about something from the popular Prodigy games. Ranger thought it was pretty interesting and felt inspired- he wanted to know more about this topic, and the lore behind it, but there wasn't anything out there. So, feeling adventurous and maybe a little bored, he wrote a script for a movie based on the lore he could find online. Now, his script is on its way to becoming a movie.
Today, a group of Morgan students is working to create the movie, which is inspired by the well-known Prodigy math and English games. The script explores the lore around finding all the gemstones and Harmony Island (which was removed but used to be a major part of the game). Also, it is likely to include Puppet Master, a main boss that hasn’t been fully developed. Since Hard Mode is now an option in the game, that may come into play as well.
Ranger contacted Prodigy, sent them the script, and got permission to use Prodigy’s intellectual property (characters, lore, locations, etc.) in the movie. Ranger said, “ I sent them the script and they actually loved it.” Prodigy even sent shirts to everyone in the group as a gesture of support.

Obviously, making a movie is a huge project, and it's going to take a lot of time, effort, and potentially money. The group is still working out the details. The budget for this project? “My savings,” Ranger said. The timeline? “It depends.”
The group has been actively working on a plan to move forward. For instance, the movie is likely to be split into 4 episodes like a mini-series. If it’s live action, they will need costumes, and if it’s animated, they will need to work on creating characters. No matter what, the cast will be people who are involved in the project. Castle B. wants to work on the music.
Though the idea of making a movie may seem unmanageable, the group is enthusiastic. Among them are gamers, coders, and creators, and with that combination, anything is possible.
Backstories, facts, and information on three popular musicians, all of whom sing different music genres! To learn more about some of the most popular, creative, and successful singers in our world today, read on!
Benson Boone is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Monroe, Washington.
Boone is known for his hit song “Beautiful Things,” which has remained at the top of the Billboard charts. Boone says, “The theme of the song is just begging someone to stay. It’s needing something so badly that you’re just terrified to lose it."
It turns out Boone discovered his talent by accident while fulfilling a suggestion from a friend to play in a Battle Of The Bands competition. Also, while attending Monroe High School, Boone participated in the school musical ELF while acting as the lead role, Buddy.
Boone is also known for appearing on the show American Idol. According to Biography.com, Katy Perry recognized his talent from the start. “I see American Idol, and I see you, and I see you winning American Idol if you want to,” Perry told him.
While Boone, then only 18, was clearly an early favorite, we’ll never know the true accuracy of Perry’s vision. Not wanting to be forever associated with the show, Boone bet on himself and dropped out after reaching the top 24.”
Benson Boone is a promising new artist and has so much to offer the world of music. Try to listen to a couple of his hits; he is known for his upbeat pop and bubbly personality that he puts in each song he sings.

Lainey Wilson is a country music star born and raised in Louisiana.
Wilson is not only a Grammy winner, but is once again the only female contender, competing against Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, and Cody Johnson.
Lainey was determined for fame at the age of nineteen and decided to move to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue her dream. Yet, her successes weren’t found easily; many believed her music did not fit into the “modern” style at the time.
But with perseverance and heart, Wilson fought to make an appearance on a popular western drama, “Yellowstone.” According to NBC Insider, “Wilson's first song for the series was her 2018 song 'Workin' Overtime' which was heard during the Season 2 premiere. Wilson's "Straight Up Sideways and Small Town Girl" appeared in Season 3, and "Hold My Halo, Watermelon Moonshine, Smell Like Smoke, and New Friends" all earned features in Season 5.
Wilson's fourth album, Bell Bottom Country, was released in October 2022.” Lainey gained popularity with speed and is currently on her Whirlwind World Tour. Laine Wilson is an inspiration for hard work and perseverance- when things get tough, stick it out!

Usher, also known as the “King of R&B,” was born in Dallas, Texas, but spent most of his youth in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Usher Raymond IV “Usher” is a popular rapper known for his smooth, funky voice and impressive dance skills. Usher began singing at the age of six, joining his local church choir alongside his mother, who served as the choir director.
As a twelve-year-old, Usher’s single mother, Jonetta, relocated herself and her boys (Usher has a younger brother named James) to Atlanta, where just a few years later, Usher secured a recording contract with LaFace Records. His album, “Can U Get wit It," was not a success in commercial achievements. Yet Usher still took time to work on a follow-up for his failed album.
Since then, Usher has won eight Grammy awards, nominations, and titles for his performances and raw talent. Usher continues to create new content and earn awards with his creativity.

This season, the Mariners had 90 wins and 72 losses. They were first place in the American League West, and they qualified for the playoffs. The Mariners then advanced to the American League Championship Series to face the Toronto Blue Jays, where they lost, just missing the World Series.
According to MLB.com, the Mariners are the only team to have never been to the World Series, and the 2025 season was the closest they've ever gotten.

Do you love eating cake pops, but they are too expensive or aren’t the right flavor? Here is the recipe for making delicious homemade pumpkin cake pops that you can make and design yourself.
White or Milk Chocolate
Any Cake Mix (and the necessary ingredients, like vegetable oil, eggs, etc.)
Frosting
Green Sprinkles (Optional)
Green Food Dye (Optional)
Cookie Tray
Cake Pan
Mixing Bowl
Mixing Spoon
Sticks or Straws
Follow the instructions on the cake mix that you bought. We used the Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix. Mix your batter and add it to a pan (we used a glass pan) to bake for the amount of time specified on the cake mix box.
Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool for about half an hour until it is cool enough to touch.
Crush up the cake until it is just mush and crumbs, then mix it with the frosting until it feels like play-dough. Next, roll them into small cake balls (they don’t have to be perfect spheres because pumpkins aren’t perfect!) and place them onto a cookie tray.
*Tip: Use gloves to keep the cake from sticking to your hands and cover the cookie tray in waxed paper for easy clean-up.Once they are on the cookie tray, put them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to let them cool and harden.
Once they are done cooling, melt some chocolate chips (it doesn’t matter the type). Once they are all melted and smooth, get your sticks or straws and dip them about an inch into the chocolate. Then stick them into the cold cake balls and put them into the freezer to harden.
*Tip: Don’t heat the chocolate too much or it will burn!Once the chocolate bits holding the sticks and cake balls are hardened, dip the balls into the melted chocolate. (Remelt if needed). Dip them so that the whole cake ball is covered, but don’t dip it too far so that the stick is covered.
*Tip: If the cake ball is falling off, you can use an extra stick to hold it up.After you coat a cake ball with chocolate, you can either set it down on a tray or stick the end of the stick into a cardboard box that has cuts in it. Let the cake pops sit so the chocolate hardens.
This is a decorative step, so it is completely optional, but it makes the cake pops even more fun! Melt a different type of chocolate chips than the ones you dipped the cake pops in, and dip an extra stick in the chocolate. Drizzle it over the cake pops to create the design you want. We did lines around it to make it look like a pumpkin. You can also add a little unmelted chocolate chip on top to make it look like a stem!
Another fun way to decorate your cake pops is to add a stem. For this, we dyed some white chocolate green and swirled it on top of a chocolate chip that we placed on the cake pop.
We hope you have fun making this cake pop recipe!

Do you ever wonder where Thanksgiving was made, why, and where? This article is for you!
According to Britannica, the origin of Thanksgiving dates back to the 1621 feast, where the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag people shared a meal. This created a truce between the people until King Philip's War (1675-1676). The feast lasted several days. Because the Plymouth colonists hadn’t been there for a while, there weren't many buildings, so many people sat on the ground or on barrels while eating. The Plymouth men went out hunting to contribute to the feast, although many people believe they went hunting for turkeys; in reality, they mainly hunted for easier prey. When the Wompanoag people came, they brought with them venison (deer). To add to the venison, they brought fish, eels, shellfish, stews, vegetables, and beer.
People mainly started celebrating Thanksgiving in the year 1863. This was the year that President Abraham Lincoln officially declared it a national holiday. The person who mainly persuaded him was named Sarah Josepha Hale. She wanted to have the holiday to promote unity.
Today, there are many more traditions, such as eating roasted turkey and gathering with family, among others. Many people share what they are thankful for from the past year. Others watch the football game while eating stuffing. Some don’t even celebrate at all, which is ok. We need to remember that every family is different and every family has its own beliefs. Just because you celebrate something doesn’t mean everyone else does, too. The importance of thanksgiving is being thankful for what you have.
What are your favorite Thanksgiving Traditions? Put your responses in the form.

If you are looking for a dish to cook for Thanksgiving or a special occasion, maybe even just for fun, you can use this recipe and tune it to your liking.
First, you'll need to buy some things. You will need a pack of chicken wings, hot sauce (as much as you like), garlic salt, lemon or lime juice (better when fresh), and any seasonings you like (I have my own personal seasoning mix), an oven, a pan, a mixing bowl, foil, and paper towels.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Now, you need to make your sauce. You can pour 75% of your hot sauce into the mixing bowl, along with any of the seasonings you would like and some lime or lemon juice. Once all the ingredients have been added to the bowl, start mixing
Next, open the pack of wings. You can take the paper towels and pat the chicken with the towels to soak up some of the excess juices. Now you will take some lime or lemon juice and lather it onto the chicken wings, then put any additional seasonings onto the wings.
Then, you can take the sauce and lather it on the chicken wings. Then, completely cover the pan with foil and place the chicken in the pan.
Now, put the chicken into the preheated oven. Wait 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
Take chicken out of the oven and ENJOY with your favorite side dish.

Saying goodbye is never easy, especially after such an incredible season filled with friendships and lasting memories. A lot was accomplished this season, including breaking records and sibling records. Morgan placed in the top three every meet.
The first meet of the season was in Ellensburg on September 25. 117 girls and 141 boys from Ephrata, Othello, and Ellensburg participated in a 1.5-mile race. Morgan got 2nd place for both girls and boys. (Team scoring works like golf; you want the lowest score. 1st place is one point, 2nd is 2 points, etc.)

In the spirit of my upcoming crazy questions article (submit your crazy question below), I’ve decided to not only allow people two months to submit them, but to also make an article on this theme. In this article, I’ll be covering what would happen if natural disasters happened, but to a level that puts all others to shame. Dive into the world of supervolcanic, magnitude 10 earthquakes, and so much more.
There are about 20 super volcanoes worldwide. Each one of them has the potential to release over 50 times more ash than the Mount Saint Helens eruption, which covered most of America in ash. When a singular supervolcano goes off, it could cover continents in ash. When every supervolcano goes off at the same time, the world would be covered in ash for years. When the comet that killed the dinosaurs landed, it effectively triggered two supervolcanic eruptions. These eruptions killed about 75% of life on Earth. If ten times that amount erupted, most developed life on Earth would die, and Earth would be left with small underdeveloped organisms, if any. In addition, the Earth's average temperature would drop by about 3 degrees Fahrenheit (If anyone wants to end global warming and life on Earth at the same time, you should trigger a bunch of supervolcanic eruptions) and cause most crops to die.
The reason I chose Seattle is that it has a fault line that is currently building tension and could experience an earthquake soon. But anyway, let's just say that scientists just completely underestimated the power of this fault line, and we were gifted the largest earthquake ever recorded. The 9.5 magnitude earthquake in Chile killed about 5,000 people. Seattle has about 5 times the population of the town of Valdivia, where the earthquake struck. Also, Seattle has major skyscrapers that compress lots of people into a tiny space, so it would be safe to assume that casualties would reach about 30,000 people. Homeless numbers would skyrocket (I know that's hard to imagine because it's Seattle) to well over 10 million. The economic damage would be over $100 billion and would take years to repair. Bellevue would also probably see a major population increase. In addition to all of this, we finally get to send a tsunami over to Japan, which would probably cause another billion-dollar fix as well as a couple of casualties.
Florida has had some trouble lately with hurricanes, and we're going to help that tradition. Let's say that we notice two hurricanes building, one in the Gulf of America and one out in the Atlantic Ocean, both of them are careening toward Florida. One of the last Category Five hurricanes (Hurricane Ian) to go over Florida caused over 100 billion dollars in damage and killed at least 100 people. If we sent both of these hurricanes, we'll call them hurricanes 6 and 7 (as they are about the sixth or seventh recorded high-end hurricanes to go over Florida). Let's say both hurricanes land at the same time and stay over the general Florida area for a day. The average damage would most likely be over 150 billion dollars. One interesting thing is that most of the damage would happen during the beginning, the hurricanes would begin to merge to spike at around a category 6-ish, but then fall to a category 4. Death numbers would be hard to calculate, probably falling between 100 and 200. Overall, these two hurricanes wouldn't cause as much damage as the other natural disasters, but they still would cause major damage.

Wanting to know what to give to your bestie for Christmas? Confused about what you want for Christmas? Well, I’ve got you covered! Here is a slideshow of tons of good gifts for teen girls!
There are many different art styles in the world. For drawing and sketching, you have hyper-realistic, semi-realistic, cartoon, the list goes on and on. Then there is 3-D art, collages, origami, and more. In this article, I will be explaining what these are and recommending art styles for people
The first art style is hyper-realistic. Hyper-realistic art is exactly how it sounds: highly realistic art. It is made by creating an illusion that tricks the mind into believing that the image is a photo through intense attention to detail and technical skill. Artists will usually use a reference picture to do these. Hyper-realistic art almost always takes a long, LONG time to draw or paint, due to their high amount of details that are added to make it as realistic as possible.
The next art style we’ll talk about is semi-realistic. Semi-realistic art is an art style that mixes realistic art with a more cartoon-style of art. This makes the art have a realistic look, but with exaggerated elements and styles, which makes it a mix of cartoon and realism. It gives you more wiggle room with proportions, features, and colors, and a lot of artists like this style because of that.
Another style that a lot of artists, both old and new, love to use is the cartoon style! It is non-realistic all the way through, which gives the artist a LOT of wiggle room for proportions, different positions, and other things. It is also great for animations, comics, plain illustrations, etc. It’s a very common style to see just about everywhere, as it is also one of the easiest, which is why it is so common to see.
Now we’ll talk about 3-D art! This includes origami, the art of folding paper, but that will be another topic. 3-D art is a form of creative expression that uses three dimensions (Length, width, height) to create a physical and/or digital piece of art. It is used in sculptures, CGI for video games and movies and TV shows, and 3-D model design. It isn’t as common as pencil and paper art, or digital art, but is still a very fun and interesting art style to try!
The next style is origami. Origami originates from Japan, and is literally ‘the art of folding paper into 3-D shapes’. There are many different types of origami that you can do, from making ninja stars, fortune tellers, folding boxes, to making animals out of paper! The most popular origami designs are fortune tellers, swans, and ninja stars. There are many tutorials for origami out there on the internet, and I’d recommend looking some up and trying it yourself, if you haven’t already!
The last art style we’ll talk about is collages. A collage is an open art form, where you take images, drawings, and words that are already out in the physical world and place them onto a piece of paper of any size to make art about you, others, places, objects, things, or ideas. Collages are always unique, both between artists and the artists' own previous collages.
These are just a few of the many styles of art that are out there. All of these are very fun to try, and I would recommend trying them out for yourselves! Some of them are difficult, yes, but with practice, anyone can do any of these! The hardest style for many people will probably be hyper-realism, but it is NOT impossible. The easiest one for most people will probably be the collage. It is easy and fun to make!
I hope this gives you some ideas for your own art! If you want to try some 3-D art, watch my video How to Make a Dragon Puppet!

Now, you may not consider yourself an artist, but let's be honest, we all love to create these fun and silly turkeys. Even if our kindergarten drawing skills were less than perfect, anyone could trace their hand!
But now that you’ve reached middle school, you need to up your game. That's right, it's time to bring out the hand turkey 2.0!
Start tracing your hand! It's easy, pick up your pencil and do it. I know you can! Even my little sister can do it, and she's in second grade. Don't lose your dignity, folks.
Now, we start with the basics! An eye and a beak, a triangle and a dot. You can do that!
And we can't forget the legs. In kindergarten, your turkey might have had some deformities to its legs, but 2.0 needs a working pair, so let's try to make the legs straight enough to function, please! Use a ruler if needed! :)
Now for the fun part! Customize it, make it your own! Is it an alien? Is it Batman? Is it a random ice cream shop worker? Only time will tell! Making it your own is the best part, don't be afraid to add anything! Hot glue, cotton balls, or even Uncle Jerry's long-lost left sock.

Now you have an awesome turkey that is Picasso-level, and you can't tell us it's not because you have never seen such a fancy hand! Want to show off what you made? We want to see it!
Bring your custom turkey up to Mrs C. Clark's room A338 before school, and she will take a photo of it. In the next issue, the lovely people of Morgan will vote for their favorite.
The football season here at Morgan is going great. With the 7th grade currently undefeated, both football teams are going great! Here is a dive into some of the players' thoughts about their team and more!

Brawl Stars is one of the most popular mobile games, with 600 million downloads on both Google Play and the App Store. There are over 80 brawlers in Brawl Stars. Today, I will tell you the top 5 best brawlers in the game. I will be covering some of the most broken and popular brawlers in the game. Let’s get started.
Mina, as of right now, is in the meta and is extremely overpowered. She does absolutely insane damage, and her super is just broken. If you use her main attack from long range, it does about 1,600 damage! That is really good. If you use her main attack in close range, it can do up to 4,200 DAMAGE MAX! That is INSANE!
In my opinion, the best strategy for Mina in the Solo Showdown gamemode is to camp in the bushes. When you see someone coming, run out of the bush and spam your main attack. You will OBLITERATE them. If they somehow don't die to your main attack, then keep spamming it until you get your super. Then use your super and spam your main attack until they die.
Okay, I’ll just get straight to the point: Kit is INSANELY OVERPOWRED AND BROKEN. She is basically a support brawler with assassin capabilities, and is just really, really, EXTREMELY annoying. Kit can use her super in two ways. She can either jump on her teammate’s back and make her main attack a long-range explosive yarn ball instead of her main claw attack. She can also use her super to jump on an ENEMY. When she jumps on the enemy, she freezes them. Now, just spam your main attack while your enemy is frozen and watch their health drop. If a Kit jumps on you, one-on-one, you are DEAD. Kit is EXTREMELY annoying and overpowered, and when she got her hypercharge in July 2025, it just made her EVEN MORE BROKEN AND OVERPOWERED.
I literally cannot put into words how absolutely BROKEN this brawler is. He literally counters every single aggressive brawler in the game with his insanely high damage, and his super is REALLY overpowered.
Those are some of the most broken and best brawlers in Brawl Stars of 2025!

November is coming, the year is going by fast, so let's talk about the yearbook and some stuff you may see there! Like, your old clothes you wore or even classmates you had in your grade or classes!
The first yearbook was invented in 1806 at Yale University in the USA. The Yearbook wasn't featured like the ones now, but a bit different; it featured handwritten notes and silhouettes of classmates to keep memories of students and events. The first yearbook published in a format similar to what we have today appeared in 1845, also at Yale, called the ¨Yale Banner.¨ From there, the tradition of printing annual yearbooks spread to high schools and other colleges across the country, and now we keep this tradition going!
Yearbooks are important because they make us remember the beautiful classmates/students we’ve had and see how much we’ve all changed over the years, and some beautiful memories!
The Yearbook is gonna be full of pictures like pictures from clubs, Choir, Band, Art club, and even assembly pictures and random pictures of our amazing teachers and students!
The Yearbook is very special nowadays because you can see how much you've grown, even getting to see how much everyone has grown and changed, getting to see your old teachers and staff!
It's only $35, so come on and buy it. If you can't, don't sweat it. But if your friend has one, maybe ask if you could check it out. You'll love it!
Make sure to buy the yearbook, you wouldn't wanna miss out on our amazing yearbook!
