The September 11th Memorial Scholarship Award is presented to two Spring Wood Middle School students for outstanding achievement in Social Studies, including the demonstration of:

• Patriotism - unfailing love of country and loyalty to its institutions and ideals

• Citizenship - promotion of the interests and welfare of others without though of personal reward

• Leadership - ability to lead and cooperate in accomplishing objectives through group action

• Character - the strength of qualities and traits that distinguishes an individual; integrity

This award is presented annually during the 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony
