Yes! The series was made into 5 parts, at 3 clock hours each, for teachers just like you who only need a few hours.
If you need a number of clock hours not equal to a multiple of 3, you will need to round up. For example, if you need 7 STEM clock hours, you will need to take 3 parts, equal to 9 clock hours, total.
Yes! The class is open state-wide.
You will have a clock hour fee, in addition to registration fees, charged at the time you receive the hours. This fee is $3 per clock hour and covers the admin costs of processing hours for those outside ESD 112, or in the Vancouver and Battle Ground School Districts.
The class is delivered entirely online through a LMS, Canvas. You may complete these classes at your own pace.
The date range is for fiscal year processes, the course is completed at your own pace including after August 31st. The course series will be reposted on September 1 for the next school year. You should be able to see the current year's postings at https://www.pdenroller.org/catalog?q=exploring+STEM
No! While there may be changes between 1 years posting to another, there is no reason to restart the series over the fiscal year cutoff. An Online Learning Management System (LMS) similar to Blackboard, D2L, or Google Classroom. ESD 112 uses the WAESD Canvas webpage at https://waesd.instructure.com/
Be sure you're logging into https://waesd.instructure.com/ Districts and other organizations have their own unique Canvas site. Helpful, I know...
If you didn't have a Canvas account established at https://waesd.instructure.com/, one was made for you using your primary email address in pdEnroller. This can also happen if it can't match your Canvas account to your pdEnroller via name or email. You can find your primary pdEnroller email at https://id.pdenroller.org/account, from there check that email for login and email verification details to access the class.
Search your email for email(s) from Canvas or Instructure asking you to "verify your email". You need to complete this in order for it to let you log back in after the first day. This includes any attempts to "reset the password"; you won't receive a password resent link unless your email was verified.
If the class isn't showing in your Canvas, but you can login successfully, view your pdEnroller confirmation email for instructions to manually register yourself. See the below screenshot from a confirmation email.
These instructions are also on the "Attendee Page" in pdEnroller. Access Attendee Pages at https://www.pdenroller.org/my/events, the information will be under "Web Links".

It takes me, the course TA, 1-2 business days to review the assignments and award clock hours. You’ll get an email from pdEnroller when the hours are awarded.
No claim code is provided.
To check manually if your clock hours have been awarded, visit: https://www.pdenroller.org/my/credits
NOTE: I, the TA, will mark your assignments as complete when I award hours. If you see all assignments are graded, but still can't see the clock hours, don't hesitate to email me. at karen.solberg@esd112.org. You may have multiple pdEnroller accounts which I can merge, or the clock hours didn't save properly when I entered attendance. Either way I can help correct it quickly!
