From the Classroom to the Keynote Stage: Scott Kern to Headline the 2026 4AI Summit 

We are excited to announce Scott Kern as the keynote speaker for the 3rd Annual 4AI Summit, taking place October 16, 2026.

Kern brings a unique perspective to the conversation around artificial intelligence in education because his work is rooted directly in the classroom. Now in his 19th year teaching AP U.S. History at North Star Academy in Newark, New Jersey, Kern also serves as History Department Chair and AI Innovation Lead for Uncommon Schools.

In addition to his work with students and educators, Kern runs SparkED Education, an AI literacy consulting practice, and co-developed the “AI Driver’s License” curriculum framework, which is currently being piloted.

Kern’s classroom has also received national attention for its innovative use of artificial intelligence. NBC News recently highlighted how he uses custom AI chatbots with students to strengthen writing and critical-thinking skills, offering a firsthand look at how emerging technology can be thoughtfully integrated into teaching and learning.
