Google Arts & Culture was created by the Google Cultural Institute. It is a great place for resouces/research on Historical Events, Historical People, Places and the Arts.

Google Tour Builder is an amazing tool for building an activity connecting locations. In addition to the map, you can add information, images, and videos to enhance the tour.

The History Channel has many options to help provide resources for your classroom. The History Channel website provides a search option but I recommend looking through topics. This Day in History is available on the website and available in a daily email. Great videos can also be found through The History Channel on Youtube.

The Library of Congress teacher website contains a search engine just for Teachers. You can search by Texas Social Studies TEKS (by grade level). It will pull up all resources available for your use.

Digital History is a great play to research any US History topic. The YouTube video to the left shows how one history teacher used this website in both her 8th grade and 12th grade classes.

Teachinghistory.org is a collection of teaching materials. Teachinghistory also maintains a YouTube page for quick links to video content. The video on the left is just one video available that explains the importance of Historical Thinking.

PBS Learning Media provides many resources including audio, video, documents, activities, interactives, and lesson plans. You will need to set up a free account to get started.

The Portal to Texas History is a gateway to rare, historical, and primary source materials from or about Texas. Created and maintained by the University of North Texas Libraries, the Portal leverages the power of hundreds of content partners across the state to provide a vibrant, growing collection of resources.

The Best of History Web Sites contains an extension list of online resources for history, including maps and Art history. With its own search engine, you can quickly collect a database of great resources for your classroom.

Annenberg's Learner.org Website was recommended by our Marzano presenters during the HRS trainings. In addition to professional development, you can search for lessons and interactives by subject then grade level.

Discovery Education provides resources based upon your district's plan. Once logged in, you can search by subject, topic, and grade level.

iCivics does just what the image states: Play, Lead, Teach. They also have a YouTube page with great video examples.
