Educator Advisory Committees

Interim Assessments

Continuing to be created, must be predictive of STAAR outcomes and must be administered electronically. May not be used for accountability purposes. The assessments may be administered at the district or class level. The district must register and any teacher may use the assessments.

Using electronic devices such as chrome books and iPads are now in the law. The devices can not have internet access.

By 2022-2023 would like for all state testing to be on line and a cap on multiple choice questions be 75% of the test. The date for implementation will be reviewed and flexible. The electronic format opens the door for more opportunities for different types of assessment.
