**IMPORTANT**
Students will only be allowed to compete in 2 games and they have to be in different parts of the day.
-Morning: League of Legends and Rocket League
-Afternoon: Overwatch and Super Smash Bros
EX: A student can compete in League of Legends and Overwatch since they are in different parts of the day.
TEAM EVENT
Sign your team up for League of Legends. You need to have a team of 5 players to register. You may have more than one team. Each player must at least be level 25 to compete.

Sign your individual players up for Super Smash Bros. You can register however many students your school wants to. Test your skills on this single player event and have fun!

R E Q U I R E M E N T S
In order to participate in the invitational you must meet the following requirements:
Students in Junior High may compete with school approval, but they will be competing with High School students
Registered Students MUST be a current student in a Region 16 school district.
Registered Students must have permission from their school to attend. You are representing your district just as other sports represent their districts.
Students must have a school-approved staff member sponsor or coach.
Students may only be registered by the Sponsor or Coach.
Students must have parental approval to play the games they are competing in.
Registration must be made 2 weeks prior to the event.
Registration cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the event will be charged an administrative $10, billed to the school. This deadline is 2/17/2023.
Brackets will be set 2 weeks prior to the event. Any student not able to attend the day of the event will forfeit the match with the other student advancing.
Some games require a team while others do not. Make sure you register as a team for the ones that require that.
Some scholarships may be tied to a requirement. For instance, you may win a scholarship to WTAMU but choose to go to another college or university. In this case, you would lose the scholarship.
You must conduct yourself with high sportsman-like conduct. Inappropriate and unprofessional actions may disqualify you from the tournament.
Region 16 will not provide transportation to the facility.
Other rules and regulations may apply. You are also subject to any other rules or regulations put in place by your school district administration. Rules may change without notice but will be posted.
No Pass, No Play is the law in Texas, not just for UIL.
19 Tex. Admin. Code § 76.1001 (a) An extracurricular activity is an activity sponsored by the University Interscholastic League (UIL), the school district board of trustees, or an organization sanctioned by resolution of the board of trustees. The activity is not necessarily directly related to instruction of the essential knowledge and skills but may have an indirect relation to some areas of the curriculum. Extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to, public performances, contests, demonstrations, displays, and club activities, with the exception of public performances specified in paragraphs (2) and (3) of this subsection.
(1) In addition, an activity shall be subject to the provisions for an extracurricular activity if any one of the following criteria apply:
(A) the activity is competitive;
(B) the activity is held in conjunction with another activity that is considered to be extracurricular;
(C) the activity is held off campus, except in a case in which adequate facilities do not exist on campus;
(D) the general public is invited; or
(E) an admission is charged.
