In an effort to address the on-going shortage of master’s level speech-language pathologists in the schools, a partnership was formed among the Education Service Centers of Texas, Texas Woman’s University, the Texas Education Agency and local educational entities to provide a master’s degree program for both in-field and out-of-field students. This program, fully accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, utilizes a combination of videoconferencing and web based instruction as well as clinical experiences on school campuses, in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, rehabilitation centers and special summer camps. Successful completion of the program prepares graduates to apply for Texas licensure in Speech Pathology and for ASHA certification.
*Candidates who do not wish to work in Texas schools are not eligible for admission to this program.*
