What is included in a Threat Assessment Inquiry?
Assess and report individuals who make threats of violence or exhibit harmful, threatening, or violent behavior.
Gathering/analyzing data to determine level of risk and appropriate intervention,
Referring a student for mental health assessment ; and
Implementing an escalation procedure, if appropriate, based on the team’s assessment, in accordance with district policy, such as:
Specific interventions
Mental health supports
Behavioral supports
In-school suspension
Out-of-school suspension, or
Student’s expulsion or removal to DAEP or JJAEP
